One of the most challenging aspects of growing a business is scaling up and building a great team. For years, I struggled with wearing too many hats and was constantly overwhelmed by the day-to-day fires that kept me from focusing on the most impactful tasks for the growth and success of the business.
Although I had a clear vision of the culture and company we wanted to create, building an environment where the company could grow as a team proved challenging amidst my various roles and responsibilities. Something had to change.
Have you ever met someone you just knew could help achieve great things if they were on your team?
When Chyanne Gordon interviewed for an open role at Everkem, I knew she needed to be part of our team. We had to find the right role for her. She was the missing piece; we just needed to identify the best place to utilize her talents.
That’s when we developed her role as HR Coordinator.
Since stepping into the role, Chyanne has embraced Everkem’s vision and helped develop it into something our entire team shares. She has implemented crucial programs that have taken Everkem to new levels, including screening, recruiting, and hiring exceptional team members, establishing employee training, safety and development programs, and developing a new company handbook. Chyanne has more than proven her irreplaceable value to our leadership team.
Chyanne is a friendly face and a balancing force in the office, providing reason, stability, and fresh ideas. She has enabled all of us to perform our daily tasks to the best of our abilities and continues to drive Everkem to grow, expand, and foster the community and core values on which Everkem was originally founded. Chyanne, we deeply appreciate your continued dedication to your career here with us!
