It’s not often you find a rep agency willing to venture across unfamiliar industry lines to pioneer a relatively unknown brand just because they love the pursuit of the sale. Fortunately, that’s exactly what happened when I received a call from Keith Hoover, a managing partner of Sterling Sales & Marketing, based in Houston, Texas, over ten years ago.

Founded by two brothers, Wayne and Keith Hoover, who have both been deeply ingrained in the building materials manufacturing and distribution business for over 30 years, Keith had been the National Sales Manager for Ohio-based OSI Sealants for 25 years before OSI was acquired by European giant Henkel. Wayne was the Vice President of Inland Sales, a major wholesale building materials distribution company, for over 35 years. Since then, Wayne and Keith Hoover have covered Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana as the “Texas outlaws” of building materials distribution, representing the most reputable brands in the industry.

 

Now in their 12th year as manufacturers’ representatives, Sterling continues to pick up the pace, and their team has grown to include Outside Sales Representative Rebecca Ipinia, covering Southern Texas, Ashley Hoover, covering Houston and Western Texas, and Melissa Sanchez, who holds down the fort as Sterling’s Marketing Coordinator and Inside Sales Representative. Together, they continue to push the limits of exceptional service, bringing value to our Everkem team and exceeding the expectations of the customers they serve.
