Welcome to Everkem’s 3rd Quarter of 2026 edition of the Caulk Talk newsletter – where we talk about all things caulk, sealants, adhesives, and construction chemical products.
In this issue, we’re sharing the latest updates from Everkem, introducing new products, and getting to know one of our team members a little better.
Keeping Pace with the Industry Together
The name of the game for construction caulk sales and manufacturing for 2026 has been to keep our chin up, pivot, and push forward.
Challenges have come from dramatic increases in chemicals and plastics, plus rising energy and freight costs due to fallout from the Middle East conflict. Maintaining adequate stock levels to balance demand, even at the risk of high inventory costs, is essential to keep supply steady. Several raw material suppliers have started to push back lead times for certain chemistries, as if a light switch turned on after the 4th of July and projects have begun to challenge our vendors’ responsiveness.
For the first time since last September, demand is starting to outpace our supplier fill rates. As a result, our team is putting in overtime, and we have been very busy communicating with our customers and vendors to ensure stock ships quickly and arrives at the jobsite on time.
Although we have had to adjust to the challenges of a slow-growth economy and a shifting geopolitical climate, life has also been extremely fruitful. We are excited to launch 3 new products developed over the past 24 months, and we’re nearing completion of several new UL tests for our Firestop-814+ and Fire Rated Putty Pads, adding 18 new US and Canadian Listings.
We received preliminary feedback from our recent distributor survey, and the results are in! On a 5-star scale measuring overall satisfaction with Everkem as a vendor, the survey says: 4.9 out of 5 stars! That’s something worth celebrating, even for just a moment – so we will take it! A big THANK YOU to our distribution partners who took the time to share their feedback!
Finally, I am eager to share that I am turning a new chapter in my life and excited to announce that I am getting married! For those of you who know us or follow us on LinkedIn, I am marrying the love of my life, my best friend, and biggest supporter – The Tatted Travel Agent, Michaleh Snider. We are having a small ceremony joined by coworkers, friends, and family at a small farm at the base of Pilot Mountain in Pinnacle, NC.
At times like these, when the world feels so chaotic and unsettled, I am so grateful to share life with such a great team and support network of customers, suppliers, friends, and family. You truly make the journey more fulfilling than the destination. Thank you for all your trust and support.
