Since joining Everkem’s Quality Assurance team in January 2026 as a Quality Assurance Technician and Lab Assistant, Luis Sanchez has quickly become a valued member of Everkem.
Many teammates knew Luis before he stepped into his current role. Prior to joining Quality Assurance, he spent a year in production as a Production Floater, gaining firsthand experience with Everkem’s manufacturing processes while building strong relationships throughout the facility. That background gives him a unique understanding of how our departments work together and helps him connect production, operations, and quality teams.
Outside of work, Luis is finishing his biology degree and is just one year away from graduation. His long-term goal is to become a primary care physician. We know he’ll make an awesome doctor: he’s a great listener and cares about his work and colleagues. Throughout his studies, Luis developed a strong aptitude for lab work and earned a reputation among professors and classmates for excelling in lab environments. This aptitude is one of his most valuable assets at Everkem.
Luis tests every production mix in the Everkem laboratory, evaluating QC specifications like weight per gallon, viscosity, color, slump, and other key performance characteristics to ensure products perform as engineered. Luis applies that same attention to detail to his quality assurance responsibilities. He conducts first article inspections to help ensure production standards and customer requirements are consistently met. His work to collect production data helps our team identify opportunities to improve processes across the organization.
Luis values open dialogue, enjoys collaborating across departments, and is committed to helping teams stay connected and informed. Whether working with production staff, operations personnel, or quality team members, Luis approaches each interaction with cooperation and support.
Looking ahead, Luis hopes to continue expanding his knowledge of chemistry, quality systems, and manufacturing while contributing wherever he can to help Everkem succeed.
When he’s not studying or working, Luis enjoys playing card games and is an avid fan of Magic: The Gathering.
As Luis puts it:
“I enjoy conducting tests and quality checks because there’s a structure to it. We can take what we learn, teach others, and ensure that communication channels stay open. I want to make sure we’re all tuned into the same station.”
